Vehicle Installers combines more than 20 years of hands-on mechanical experience with specialist knowledge of commercial vehicle conversions, electrical systems and aftermarket vehicle equipment.

Based in York and working with customers across the UK, we build and install practical vehicle solutions for trades, mobile businesses and commercial fleets — from individual upgrades to complete specialist van conversions.

From mobile tyre vans and workshop conversions to auxiliary power systems, lighting, security and vehicle technology, our focus is straightforward: build it properly, install it professionally and make it work for the job it was designed to do.

Vehicle Installers was established in 2024, but the experience behind the business was built over more than two decades in the motor trade.

After more than 20 years working as a mechanic, customers were increasingly asking for work beyond traditional servicing and repairs — from aftermarket lighting and vehicle security to electrical equipment, cameras and specialist equipment for working vehicles.

What began as occasional installation work developed into something much bigger. Designing electrical systems, solving practical problems and building vehicles around the way customers actually use them became an increasingly important part of the work.

That experience ultimately led to Vehicle Installers — a business focused specifically on professional vehicle installations, commercial vehicle conversions and specialist builds.

Today, we work on everything from individual vehicle upgrades and electrical installations to mobile workshops, tyre vans, bespoke commercial vehicles and fleet conversions.
